Seventy-eight Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School (POBJFK) students recently traveled to Anaheim, California to join 16,000 students from all over the world to participate in DECA’s 67th International Career Development Conference Competition. Students presented business projects they have worked on throughout the school year and tested their business skills. Eighteen POBJFK students were finalists in their respective competitions and three students, Joshua Fried, Stephanie Horowitz and Shirel Ozinci were awarded “Top Ten” recognition for their project. Senior Jamie Bernstein received a $1,000 scholarship for her hard work, dedication and leadership skills.
